Zeil rond de wereld

De Volvo Ocean Race komt eraan! Tussen 17 en 19 april (afhankelijk van de wind, hoe interessant en authentiek toch) arriveren ze in Baltimore. Sinds hun stop in december in Kaapstad zeilen ze via Rio de Janeiro, Baltimore en New York naar Rotterdam. Doortje uit Kaapstad mailde dat ze daar met het bestuur van de Nederlandse club op een speedboot het ABN AMRO team ONE dat op top lag, hebben binnen gehaald. Super natuurlijk. Ik heb de Nederlandse club hier gemaild om te vragen of zij ook iets leuks doen maar waarschijnlijk niet want dat weekend komt Freek de Jonge naar hier en die gaat voor, denk ik zo. De finish van de race is in Göteborg, Zweden. Nog even wat stoere teksten over Baltimore knippen en plakken:

En hier wonen wij! Federal Hill on the south side of the Inner Harbour offers the best view of the city. The surrounding neighbourhood has a variety of boutiques and restaurants and one of the city's most popular markets.
